My friend Mark Hager is a skilled writer of haiku poetry. (A haiku, for the unitiated, is a three line poem; the first with 5 syllables, the second with 7, and the third with 5 again. That’s all you get! Harder to compress thoughts into so few syllables than you might think.)
I asked Mark for a Reason in haiku form, and he graced me with a most excellent haiku, chock full of allusions to my crowdfunding campaign video. (So if you haven’t seen the video you’d best take a look!)
And now, I give you Mark’s haiku:
I don’t patronize Starbucks all that often, but I got a giftcard recently, so I went.
On the one hand, delicious milk-and-coffee-and-chocolate warm beverage.
On the other: $5.13 for coffee? That stuff is pricey! (For coffee. For a houseboat it would be a bargain. Anyway.)
