Aug 27, 5pm, Towne Crier Cafe: "A Cause for Paws" Benefit Concert Beacon, NY This benefit concert and silent auction is in response to the catastrophic flooding in Louisiana. The event will raise funds for Louisiana shelters that aid displaced companion animals. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged to the Louisiana State Animal Response Team. This is one of very few times in the last decade that brand-new music has been included in a Eucharist at the convention, which is attended by about 600 clergy and laity from six counties, representing 66,000 parishioners.
